600 vacancies for Bruneians to work in the private sector will be offered this weekend at the Manpower Planning and Employment Council’s (MPEC) Recruitment Fair at OneCity Shopping Centre.
The vacancies are being offered by more than 40 Brunei-based companies in oil and gas, healthcare, retail, accommodation and food services with 13% of the positions for professionals, managers, executives and technician roles.
The Recruitment Fair runs from 2.30pm to 6pm on Friday and 10am to 6pm from Saturday to Sunday.
The highest number of vacancies on offer include 108 staff nurses and 21 hospital aides for Jerudong Park Medical Centre; 50 marketing executives for Aman Hills Management; 50 security guard for Aegis Secure Solutions; 25 service cleaners for Rentokil Initial; 30 sales assistants and 15 cashiers for Sim Kim Huat; 26 positions for Charcoal BBQ & Grill; 22 positions for The Coffee Bean Brunei; 20 waiters for Borneo Kopitiam Restaurant and Catering and 124 vacancies for various roles in Hua Ho Department Store.
The 24 companies in Zone C of the fair will be hosting interviews on the spot – with MPEC’s JobCentre Brunei (JCB) providing visitors with a screening that will review if the visitor’s CV and documentation matches the criteria of the company before proceeding for interview.
Zone B will host the remaining hiring companies who will be showcasing vacancies and accepting CV submissions, while Zone A offers visitors counters to register and activate a e-Darussalam and JCB account as well as have their CV reviewed.
Visitors can also learn about upskilling initiatives and forecasted jobs by representatives from MPEC and JCB at Zone A.
