Darussalam Enterprise (DARe) has launched an online store and display shelves housing premium local products for its newly rebranded Bruneian Made Finest platform.

bruneianmadefinest.gobeli.store will be operated by local IT company AVENSYS Solutions and their supporting logistics solutions Go Rush and Globex to enable local and international delivery.

Customers can also shop for the Finest items in person at Sunju Enterprise’s branches at the airport and The Mall as well as Aewon’s store at the Yayasan Shopping Complex.

Meanwhile the Finest display shelves will be placed at the Brunei International Airport, hotels, malls and other strategic locations to help raise awareness on premium locally made products.

10 vendors are currently participating in Finest offering textiles, handicrafts, jewelry and decorative merchandise, with DARe inviting more local businesses to participate.

The Finest platform falls under the Bruneian Made programme, a market access initiative by DARe to help local producers increase exposure for their products and provide new channels for sales in high traffic areas.

Permanent Secretary (Industry) at the Ministry of Finance and Economy (MOFE) and DARe board member Pg Hjh Zety Sufina Pg Dato Paduka Hj Sani launched Finest at the Bruneian Made mini showcase at the Ground Floor of the Airport Mall earlier today.

Since its launch in 2017, Bruneian Made – formerly branded as Made in Brunei and Unexpected Treasures – has helped 28 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) retail 132 products.

Aside from the Finest platform, Bruneian Made also offers a supermarket shelf stocking everyday items at established stores including Hua Ho, Supa Save, Sim Kim Huat and One Station. The dedicated shelf helps MSMEs by enabling them to stock their products in lower volumes on a consignment arrangement with discounted commission.

Pg Hjh Zety Sufina said local producers have the potential to reduce the country’s reliance on imports and increase exports in the near future.

“Through the Bruneian Made initiative, MSMEs have been supported through various assistance programs and advisory such as improvements to the products’ packaging, certification of international standards, provision of business-related trainings, as well as support to access and penetrate a wider market,” she said.

The Finest vendors are: Alimen enterprise, Veena Hijab Company, Batik Desamas, Oudh Berjaya, Cahaya Gaharu, Mumtaz Collection, Koleksi Husnaa, Mahkota Design, Pusat Pengajian dan Kesenian Kaligrafi Islam and Al Hayaah Brunei.
