With National Day festivities in full effect, Kontena Park’s vendors have come up with their own new specials to mark the occasion. And with nine residing vendors, you can be sure that all your bases are covered; from wide-ranging cuisines including Asian, Middle-Eastern and Western serving up a variety of snacks to full meals as well as desserts.
Here’s a look into what’s on offer.
Kofta Diva’s salted egg burger
With toasted black bamboo charcoal buns and a richly spiced chicken patty topped off with a slightly curried salted egg sauce – Kofta Diva’s latest creation is unlike any other burger on the market.
The burger served with thick-cut fries is priced at $6.50 and will be available from February 5 to February 28 at both their Kontena Park and Jerudong Park Food Court branches. You can also opt to wash down the savoury meal with a giant 750ml bag of their Thai milk tea.
The Toast Club’s kebangsaan special
The all-female crew behind The Toast Club have come up with a crepe with fillings that suitably match the colours of the Brunei flag; bananas, strawberries and marshmallows with a Nutella base. The kebangsaan special is on offer for $4.50 from February 25 to March 10.
Star Anise’s tiger prawn laksa
Star Anise’s rich laksa is true to its peranakan roots, with a chicken and shrimp broth infused with traditional spices made creamy with coconut milk. But the founders wanted to create more than the average laksa; so each bowl comes not only with the standard rice noodles, fish cake, fish balls, egg, cucumber and bean sprouts but two handpicked tiger prawns weighing close to 100g each.
The tiger prawn laksa is on offer for $6.50 from February 17 to March 17.
