Upcoming retail space The Box are inviting businesses to submit their interest as tenants for the 19,864 square feet facility located at Telanai Avenue.
The property under HAHD group is designed to accommodate 63 businesses – 61 within containers – across two floors and is expected to be the largest container-styled retail establishment in Brunei when it launches in early 2019.
Rental begins at $800 a month and tops out at $2,000 monthly, which covers maintenance for the entire space, including cleaning of common areas, pest control and round-the-clock security.
There are four standard unit sizes: 2.4 m x 3.1 m, 3 m x 2.4 m, 3 m x 4.8 m and 2.4 m x 6 m. The container units – all 2.6m tall – are spaced out mostly in rectangular fashion across both floors, providing a central patio with 310 seats altogether.
Businesses targeted include those providing food and hospitality, print and stationery, home and decoration, fashion and beauty, fabrics and textile, tech and entertainment, retail and distribution as well as services.
Those doing live cooking will be housed on the ground floor, and will need to install their own ventilation and cooking equipment.
The Box’s creative and marketing agency Mixmediaworx (MMW) will be hosting an open day for the establishment this Monday from 9am to 12pm at the auditorium of the Design and Technology Building in Anggerek Desa.
The open day will include a presentation on The Box as well as a networking and question and answer session for potential vendors.
