Caffe Bene, Kaleidoscope Studio (KS) and Uneek Skateshop will be hosting Caffe x Youth this September 15 to 16 – a creative and street sports festival – at Taman Budiman’s Skate Park in Berakas.
The event will kick off on a Saturday with competitions for Polaroid photography, graffiti, paintings, coffee art, skateboarding and OOTD – alongside a pop-up sale which will feature Bruneian F&B and fashion startups.
A six kilometre race will be held the following day at 6.45am from Bandarku Ceria at Taman SOAS in the capital, passing by national monuments to reach Taman Budiman; with a photo walk also hosted in tandem with run.
KS’ public relations officer Wan Yuri Wajihah (pictured main L) said the race would be held under the banner of New Resolutions Fest – a joint collaboration between KS and Pro-Event Management that looks to encourage the community to take on physical, educational and creative activities.
“The NRF Fun Run and Cycle costs $30 to join and will also be open to those looking to skateboard and rollerblade the route,” said Wan Yuri. “We are hosting this event so that youth can try out new things, while also showcasing the local talents that we have. It’s an event by youth for youths.”
Other activities scheduled include an art exhibition and wood pallet painting. Caffe x Youth is supported by MMW, DST, KFm, Redbull, Rose Photo Studio, Oblimag and Cuckoo.
