Drop by Entrepreneurship Open Day in Temburong!

DARe is inviting residents to drop by Kompleks Utama Bumiputra next Tuesday to learn more about business

Learn about the processes and support needed to start, run and grow your business by dropping by Entrepreneurship Open Day (EOD) in Temburong next Tuesday, November 14, from 9am to 3.30pm at the Komleks Utama Bumiputra in Pekan Bangar.

An initiative of the national body for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) Darussalam Enterprise (DARe), EOD will bring together 16 government agencies dealing with business processes and support – who will be on hand to provide answer questions from aspiring and existing businesses.

There will also be talks running concurrently through the event, beginning at 9.30am by DARe – who will cover what support and opportunities they can provide, from financing to land to training – before a presentation at 10am from the Wawasan Brunei 2035 Secretariat on the nation’s vision.

This will be followed by a sharing session at 10.30am by two young, up-and-coming local entrepreneurs, Zakiyyah Zaini Scarves – who design and imprint their own line of headscarves – and Amal Hadizat, an F&B company most known for their fried peanuts.

At 11am, the Registry of Company and Business Names (ROCBN) will share how the public can start and register their business, followed by a presentation on writing a business plan by LiveWIRE at 2pm.

Agencies attending the Temburong EOD are: ROCBN, Royal Customs and Excise Department, Treasury Department, Tabung Amanah Pekerja, Labour Department, Temburong’s District Office, the Post Office, the Cottage Industry and Cooperative Division, the Online Business Report portal,  the Halal Food Control Division, the Fisheries Department, the Agriculture & Agrifood Department, the Tourism Development Department, DARe and the Wawasan Brunei 2035 Secretariat.

Biz Brunei will also be on hand for local businesses looking for support with promotion and marketing.
