You can now register, audit, or terminate your cooperative (koperasi) and more, through the OneBiz online portal, the government’s single portal for licence applications.
The new changes, implemented by the Cottage Industry and Cooperative Division (CIC) through OneBiz, were explained to nearly 60 representatives from cooperatives at Job Centre’s Auditorium to a crowd of nearly 60 representatives.
The changes mean that those looking to start a cooperative need to first register an e-Darussalam account at www.gov.bn.
Once registered, they can head over to the One Biz website at onebiz.business.gov.bn which allows for new cooperative registration, audit services for a fiscal/financial year, liquidation for the winding down of a cooperative, and request for cooperative documents (held by CIC).
Each service is $15, $100, $100 and $20 respectively.
When selecting any of the cooperative services through OneBiz with your e-Darussalam account, when asked if you have permission to apply for the business select Yes – to apply for audit, liquidation or cooperatives and No to register a new cooperative.
Once the form filling has been completed and the relevant documents have been attached (pdf files are recommended), complete the declaration section of the submission and you will be taken to the status page of your application.
It’s important to note the application reference number for future use. A sample reference number would be N-2017-123456. The first letter determines the kind of application: N is for New, R is for Renewal, U is for Update and T is for Termination.
One Biz will periodically update you on the status of your application through SMS or e-mail, including when to pay.
Payment can either be done offline by going to the OneBiz counter at the Business Support Centre, First Floor of the Design and Technology Building in Anggerek Desa, or through online using either a credit card or a debit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express).
Online payment can be done by pressing the Check Status option at the top of the OneBiz website, logging in, choosing the relevant application reference number and pressing the ‘Make Payment’ option.
Once you’ve got the e-receipt, proceed to the OneBiz counter to receive the relevant documents for your cooperative.
